The University of Moscow’s Center for Partnership of Civilizations
plans to hold the second international
conference on “Russia and the Islamic
World”.
Co-sponsored by the Center for Partnership of Civilizations and
Iran’s Cultural Center in Moscow, the
international scholarly event is slated to
be held in October with the participation of
150 scholars and thinkers from around the
world.
The first conference on “Russia and the Islamic World” was also
held in Moscow on June 23-24, 2008.
Among the main topics at last year’s conference, which was attended
by religious scholars, theologians,
politicians and NGO members, were religious
tolerance, globalization, and the
relationship of Russia with Muslim states.
