The Secretary General of the Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC) Prof. Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu has met with the Chairman of the World Islamic Economic Forum Foundation (WIEF) Tun Musa Hitam and his accompanying delegation. During their meeting, they discussed perspectives of establishing partnership between the OIC and WIEF. Tun Musa Hitam briefed the OIC Secretary General on the objective and activities of the Foundation in promoting economic and commercial cooperation in the Muslim world through providing a platform to gather business sectors together.

On his part, the Secretary General underlined the role of the OIC in fostering economic and trade relations among its Member States. He further emphasized that the WIEF can be one of the main fora in Islamic world for bringing together business communities from the Muslim and non-Muslim countries, as well as disseminating the Islamic values.
